The JRC M1302A magnetron is a commercially available high power microwave tube which has been developed as a main transmitting device for high performance S-band marine radar systems. This high vacuum thermionic valve operates in a sharply-defined frequency range, converting high voltage electrical pulses into raw electromagnetic radiation for shipboard radar scanners. The M1302A is built in Japan to stringent ISO marine requirements, providing the ideal mix of maximum output power and long-term signal stability. Its primary engineering purpose is to provide an ultra accurate, high energy pulse that can penetrate severe air precipitation, marine clutter and fog, to ensure that your vessel has full target discrimination and situational awareness during deep sea transits.   Model Details: Brand/Manufacturer: JRC (Japan Radio Co., Ltd.) Model Number: M1302A Manufacturer Part Number (MPN): M1302A Alternative Reference: JRC M1302 / M5020 Series Cross-Compatible Country of Manufacture: Japan Features: High-Yield 30kW Peak Transmit Energy: Provides great raw pulse power to maintain strong echo returns at extended range and across dense atmospheric clutter. S-Band Optimisation for Severe Weather: Designed and tuned for S-band, it is far better than x-band alternatives for doing long range detection in heavy rain, snowstorms and spray. Solid-State Thermal Management Profile: Includes heavy-duty cooling fins incorporated into a rugged chassis for optimal heat dissipation up to an operating limit of 120 degrees. Direct OEM Plug & Play Fitment: Matching JRC radar configurations with drilled mounting holes and strict waveguide flange specs for fast, painless change-outs.   Marine Applications Commercial Merchant Fleet Navigation: It is the main transmitter core of JRC S-band radar systems on board of container ships, oil tankers and bulk carriers. IMO/SOLAS Mandatory Secondary Radar Systems: Conforms to international safety criteria for boats above 3,000 gross tonnes requiring an independent secondary navigation system in the S-band, in addition to primary X-band arrays. Offshore Support & Deep-Sea Fishing: Keeps radars working for offshore supply vessels (OSVs) and deep-sea trawlers under constant vibration and high rolling. Vessel Traffic Services (VTS): Inclusion in land-based coastal surveillance networks for tracking traffic movements through high-risk chokepoints and harbour openings.
